Lee Bishop - Offensive and Defensive Line Specialist
The Bishop Legacy truly began when father Lee Bishop made the decision to move to Aledo. Lee accepted a coaching position and moved sons Matt, Luke, and Jake from Denton Ryan High School to Aledo High School. Much of Aledo’s offensive and defensive line success over those years was due to Lee’s stellar coaching, contributing in no small part to the 11 state championships that Aledo has enjoyed since. Today, Lee serves as a coach for Peaster High School, and works with Matt to train defensive and offensive linemen.

Matt Bishop - Founder and President of Bishop Legacy
Founder of Bishop Legacy, Matt’s own quarterback journey dates back to 2009, when he began starting at quarterback for Aledo High School. Matt, with his dad serving as offensive line coach, led the Bearcats to three consecutive state championships and went on to play at Tarleton State. Today, Matt is a dedicated quarterback and receiver coach with years of experience training athletes across DFW, including collegiate standouts like Braden Fowler-Nicolosi (Colorado State), Jase McLellan (Atlanta Falcons), Money Parks (University of Utah), Hauss Hejny (Texas Christian University), and many more. Through personalized training, camps, and 7-on-7 tournaments, Matt helps athletes unlock their potential to achieve excellence on and off the field.

Jake Bishop - Quarterback and Receiver Specialist
Youngest brother Jake led the Bearcats to consecutive Texas Class 5A Division II state championships in 2018 and 2019. His tenure as QB1 was marked by exceptional performances, including being named Offensive MVP in the 2019 state title game, where he accounted for four first-half touchdowns. After high school, Jake joined Texas Tech University as a wide receiver, furthering his athletic career. Jake currently serves as a coach at Weatherford High School, and works with Matt and Lee to train quarterbacks and receivers.
